possible, but make sure it is not booked as a codeshare -- you want an UA operated flight booked as a UA flight number. then see in US Air site Get your Star Alliance® Upgrade Awards. Will take 30K miles each way.

Thanks for the info. This system is WAY more complex than US Airways' system.

It is the same across *A including US for upgrading flights when using miles from a different airline program.
