The Sony is good if I'm traveling around a lot and want a quick point and shoot but the 7D kit goes with if I'm doing some serious photography or attending an even which I want to get good pic.
The Sony is awesome for theme parks and is amazing in low light (good quality up to Iso 1600). Not quite pocket camera but nice and light.
