I just flew CX F ORD-HKG-(BKK)-ORD, and wanted to comment on my check-in experience at ORD. i booked the AA award within 2 days before the trip and could not get a seat assigned, so upon checkin I was assigned 2D - the checkin agent told me that no windows were available - after boarding F was only 3 of 6, and the flight attendant asked if I wouldn't prefer the window - apparently the TA didn't know that 2A & 2K weren't actually occupied but blocked for bassinet

Believe me or not - CX needs to work on improving its GAs in ORD.
