I'm giving this place a try in early April...It's just 3 nights, and the rate is about US$100 less per night than the Hilton Shanghai. It's actually closer to my office, and I hope that it's going to be my new home in Shanghai. But we'll see--I did notice, as mentioned, that it is the old Sofitel, but apparently they've done a lot of work on the place. I will report after my stay how it went!
