I really used to enjoy travelling and planning a journey but over recent months I have the increasing perception that it is becoming a real pain in the behind. Whenever you call an airline there is some difficulty, a problem, they cancel and they reschedule constantly. A set of tickets I am holding had to be reissued twice because of NZ schedule changes. After all that I asked for a change and get whacked with a charge...kind of ironic. I have been rebooked on planes that fly via the pampas because the direct schedule doesn't connect to my international flight anymore. Are the airlines really becoming more difficult to deal with, or is it me? Have I reached the soapy slope of decrepitude and am gradually becoming (or have I already become) an old fart?
