Is the only proper response a silent contemplation of the tragedy? How long of a mourning period is required? Who gets to decide?

I respect the mournful reaction but I think the "I won't be intimidated" reaction is just as good. The stock market reopened several days after 9-11. Is it disrepectful or is it an act of defiance?

When some of us spoke up about booking extra trips post-9/11, is that disrespectul or an act of defiance?

If jongar wants to continue his trip to Bali, why is it wrong to want to upgrade to a better hotel because of cancellations? Too judgmental, in my opinion.
