Chase probably has downgraded your card from Visa Signature to a plain Visa.
However it does not affect your sign up bonus other than the Visa benefits are less than the Visa Signature. I gather that is not something you would be concerned with.
This is a major difference between Chase and Barclay / BofA - the latter 2 banks would also reduces your sign up bonus accordingly if you are issued a "lesser" card.
I read somewhere that Barclays is going to start giving the full bonus, at least on the US Airways card, even if you only qualify for a platinum, instead of a world mastercard.
