Do they care if you arrive transborder or over water, though? I've run into lounges in the past that would allow no shower access unless you were coming in on an international flight.
Of course you can use them...if you can get in the lounge you can use the shower. Even passengers originating in YVR can use the shower. Which lounges have you experienced which restricted shower usage?

This is a bit OT but since people are asking about showers, I have a question. I know these are lounge showers and relatively clean, but do people use shower shoes or sandals? I have contemplated using showers on before or after Long Haul flights but never have because of the lack of shower shoes.
Personally, I've never used sandals or shower shoes. I've walked barefoot in places that would be a lot less sanitary than a airport lounge shower, so while yes there can be a small risk of contacting some bacteria of some kind, I've never worried about it.
