Sorry I wasn't more clear. If you look at post 36 above in this thread (see link below) you'll see instructions that work with at least some of the thermostats at Hilton Hawaiian Village. Once you have the thermostat in VIP mode you can turn the temperature lower and cool the room down. I only turned the temperature back up during the day to save energy and so it wouldn't be obvious what we'd done. Some hotels might object I suppose.
