Yes, but it is getting WORSE! Even 2008 was not anywhere as bad to travel as the current circus. I find it mind-blowing how much aggravation it is to get through the sea of blue shirts manning the "checkpoint." There must be 50 at my local airport every time I go through, many standing around at the podium looking dazed.
