Hello and a happy New Year to you!

A good parking spot for weekend stays near PH Hamburg might be at the Bugenhagenstrasse/Lange Muehren corner (next to Galeria Kaufhof) just a few yards away from the hotel.
Parking should be entirely free on Sundays and during the night (from 6PM-8AM on weekdays and from 4PM-8AM on Saturday). For the rest of the time, one has to buy a parking voucher at a machine and display it on the car's dashboard to avoid getting a parking ticket.
I don't remember how much the exact costs/hour are. Plus it might be difficult to find a parking spot there at times (especially on Saturdays).

Hope you enjoy your stay at the Park Hyatt. After having had a fair share of trouble there last summer, they have gone to great lengths to treat me extra well during my following stays - only after I escalated my complaints to corporate though.

If you are a Diamond, don't forget that you can also enjoy full breakfast at the Apples (which offers the best Hyatt breakfast in Germany, IMO).

I think it is due time for a soft renovation of the rooms but haven't heard anything about such plans yet. Compared to the competion (e.g. the newly renovated Fairmont), the rooms are simply not stylish enough anymore. And true, understated luxury like at Park Hyatt Zurich is something else. For me, the rooms at Park Hyatt Hamburg resemble the nicer rooms at Hyatt Regency Warsaw - a really great hotel with a phenomenal Regency Club and an overall amazing value for the money - but not a German Park Hyatt.

Please let us know how your stay proved to be and what you think of the interiors.
