They do stop along the way to pick up and drop passengers.....that's partly the reason the journey takes so long.....although 20 hours sounds a bit on the long side to me. The last time I did it it was a few hours short of that. You get fed on the coach so stops are quite short. Really only enough time for a cigarette and to buy some drinks.

I hate overnight longhaul flights as well even in F.
