A friend gave me a carton of
these. They are dehydrated, and my hopes were not high as I tried them this morning, but man was I surprised. By far the best hashbrowns I've ever had outside of a restaurant, and better than 90% of what restaurants offer. Perfect taste and texture. Too bad they are out of stock right now from the manufacturer. I will be ordering a couple of cases asap. It's a miracle for a hashbrown junkie like me.^^^
Since Denny's uses dehydrated hashbrowns it doesn't surprise me these taste very similar
I was a graveyard cook at Denny's while putting myself through college and used to have to "prep" hashbrowns for the dayshift everyday. Prep consisted of opening the box, adding hotwater, then moving to the walk in cooler. They were fully rehydrated and ready to cook after about an hour.
