TG, you can take the hotel shuttle to the airport and then catch the
VTA #10, which will drop you off at the Metro Light Rail Station. Then you can take the
Light Rail and get off at Santa Clara street.
AP Stumps and
Tied House are both within walking distance. It's $1.25 for a single ride and $3.00 for a day pass. The #10 shuttle is free. I just called the Sheraton San Jose and the airport shuttle runs from 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM. I think
Rudi has a car and wouldn't mind dropping you off on his way back to the
SFO Marriott.
