I can't speak for others but, for me, that card lost most of its appeal due to the shenanigans from Travelocity/Barclay's when the transition was made. Barclay's customer service is piss poor and I dislike having to beg for/demand the points to which I'm entitled.
Just researched it and it is still a solid card, no doubt, but most here are mentioning cards widely available to the masses while your card is not. Thus, making it of little use to us. I applaud your patience in sticking it out with the card (or luck if you've never had an issue). If you've had that card this long, I take it that you won't cancel unless they really stick it to you since you have the general spend advantage versus the new account.
The "new" program appears to be similar to what was offered for new accounts when I left although I'm not 100% sure. This still makes it great if one books their travel through Travelocity but the other spend categories are nothing special. Customer service would still be a deal breaker for me since I don't book much through Travelocity.
