On a Citi issued card where I saw a price drop some 40 days after purchase from Amazon, they would not help as they do not cover internet purchases. And with a B of A Virgin Amex I made use of the extended warranty. It is quite a long drawn out process. With Amex itself they have historically been very quick and very easy with this kind of thing, and I only read good things about Chase. So it just reaffirms my choices and sticking with Amex and Chase. Citi customer service sucks.
Amex has served me well too. Twice I filed claims for rental car damage, and both times Amex took care of it quickly and hassle-free. Though I've done plenty of churning over the past few years, I'll always keep an Amex because of the customer service.
