Thanks for all the tips. Terminal 1 is truly dismal. There is only one sit-down place, which had a Pub-Burger atmosphere (did not try). The SkyClub is located outside of security, which had no priority line on either of our visits. Getting back from landside was a 20+ minute delay. FWIW, the SkyClub was more than adequate for our needs, and not crowded.
Glad that you had a good layover. Did you end up just snacking at the SkyClub or did you venture out and find something to eat? And if so, where'd you dine?
Yeah, T1 is not up the standards of the other terminals. It is definitely dismal from dining to seating.
