I recently flew from CDG to AUH to HYD on a Etihad operated and marketed flight and got the miles.
When I check in for the next leg of this trip tomorrow night (AUH - LHR), I am going to see what I can do to get some mileage credit for the flight I took earlier today from ORD - AUH. I appreciate the posters above who suggested that I at least try to get some credit even if only on an EY account.
I expect to get credit for my AUH - LHR flight, just as you should have gotten credit for a CDG - AUH - HYD itinerary. As you point out, the only routes carved out of the mileage accrual calculation are operated to AUH from JFK, ORD and YYZ. I know there were other AA EXPs and Plat's on my flight tonight who also believed they were picking up several thousand miles of credit. I just hope they weren't counting on it to acheive any program hurdles for 2012.
