There is little likelihood that BA will not consider major compensation in your case since they did fulfill their obligation to get you to your final destination within 24-hours of the original schedule, on the most direct flights available. They may, however, send you a voucher for L100 or so off a future flight if you write the incident up in a reasoned fashion. Also, did they provide you with any assistance due to the delayed luggage? This would also bear on the nature of compensation. The main point is, when you write, do so in a calm and reasoned tone.
