As a commercial property landlord, HVAC issues is on the front burner constantly.. I've been in enough hotels to know that sometimes the system in the hotel room doesn't work as intended.
I have no qualms, adjusting the settings to balance different parts of the room. But taking the thermostat apart, that's where I draw the line, and call in hotel personnel to deal with it. Can't be dealt with, I just receive a nights' credit fo the room and move..
