have been flying jet airways from the US to asia with my now-4 year old for a couple of years, which has been fantastic. the biz class lounge at BRU has a large room within the lounge which is a dedicated kids area. mind you- not a lot going there aside from a couple of beanbags and a tv tuned to a kiddie channel, but it allowed me to settle my kid in and let him spread his stuff around (and god knows there's always a lot of stuff) without feeling like i was bothering the other passengers in the main lounge. the buffet includes things like choc croissants and nutella-type spreads that always go down well with the under-10 set. the only chocolate milk mix available there was meant more for cold milk, but one of the lounge attendants kindly offered to heat up the milk and mix the drink up for my son.
last month we flew J on lufthansa from the US to asia via FRA, and it wasnt anywhere as easy on us. didnt get a change to use the lounge out of philly so i wont comment on that, but i was seriously disappointed by the lounge in terminal 1, in section B. i know i'm not the first one to find it seriously underwhelming, but just have to add that its particularly a dead loss as far as kids are concerned. also, the loos are really small and maneuvering inside one of them with a 4 year old was a pain. all my son wanted to do was be at the small playground near the B gates, down the elevator from the lounge. there was a nice clean family loo with a diaper changing station close to the playground, which worked out well.
on our return journey we spent far more time at the tower lounge which i believe is in section A of terminal 1. it was packed at that hour of the morning, but we always managed to find a couple of places to sit. breakfast offering included pancakes or waffles with fruit and nutella. the loos were also more family-friendly, though i cant recall if there was a diaper changing station or not. the windows overlooking the tarmac were great and provided entertainment for my son..for about 15 minutes, after which he asked to be taken to the playground. none to be found in section A, sadly, and i wasnt about to make the trek via train back to section B, so resorted to plying him with vast amount of kinder chocolate instead. no, no, i didnt really..well not much, and anyway its kinder chocolate, says right there on the box..
