3 trains? 2 bus rides will do..
From EWR, just take Newark Liberty Express bus to Grand Central Station, then from there take the New York airport service to JFK and vice versa. both are comfortable bus rides even with luggage.
Alternatively from JFK, you may take the airtrain to Jamaica station, then take the Metro to Grand Central before riding the Newark express bus and vice versa..
I already know New York by heart and I have worked in both of our point of entry offices at JFK and EWR.. I've also stayed in NJ at North Bergen so I know what I'm saying for someone who is going back and forth on those 2 airports regularly coz of work related operations...
the only think I don't like is the traffic at Lincoln tunnel going to New York during early morning rush hour when I stayed at North Bergen..
One thing going for is JFK is a major hub so fares are lower.. I have difficulty finding low fares to EWR.
the only time I landed at EWR is our KE flight got diverted because of a NorEaster that suddenly hit NYC and NJ as we are about to land at JFK...
but so much for that..
but my point is really since EWR is not that far from JFK and is part of the 3 major airports (JFK, LGU, EWR) of the tri state, will it be better for CX to choose a farther airport from JFK? Maybe IAD or BOS?
My simple question is: Isn't it a long drive going from JFK to IAD or BOS? Compared to simply moving from JFK to EWR as it can be just by public transportation?
