In the spirit of giving credit where credit is due....

SEA uses BSX as primary now, and I have not flown from here since they were introduced.

Adviced TDC that I would be physically unable to use BSX. He was very abrupt and told me that I would be getting extra screening and that I should use the BSX. I told him that it wasn't a matter of choice, but rather that I had no choice.

Got to the belt, and a young TSO walked past, so I called out 'excuse me', and explained that I was phyiscally unable to use BSX. She asked me to repeat that, said 'that's ok', called over to the person blocking the WTMD, and said 'she'll be using that machine'.

I walked through, no alarm, and went back to my items on the belt. Note: I was wearing the evil, highly suspicious skirt, and was not selected for a pat down.

Back at the belt the items from the 3 people ahead of me were piling up as they were still waiting for the BSX, so I started to grab laptops and valuables before they fell off the belt (including search and rescue lanterns, a watch, and at least two laptops!)

The female TSO came over to help, thanked me, and returned the items to their owners. She then apologised for asking me twice earlier about the BSX, but explained that she didn't understand me the first time (I was nervous and my accent may have come out)

So, my experience was positive, but I still am angry about BSX being primary, the threat from the TDC, and the length of time it took the others to pass as well as the backlog of items and potential loss that may have occured due to the backlog.
