Can I apply for the card again and get the bonus points, and just carry around 2 cards?
That might work for a few card issuers, and would even have worked for Chase a few years ago, but since ~2007 Chase has clamped down on such churning. The odds of you getting a second bonus so soon after receiving the first card are functionally nil.
Also, how long are you supposed to wait between Chase apps again? 30 days? 60 days?
There's no hard and fast rule, but I'd advise spreading apps out at least 30 days. That said, there's a recent discussion in
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credi...er-thread.html re the prospects for applying for 2 Chase cards simultaneously & then successfully requesting reconsideration after app #2 is denied. Of course, results will vary significantly according to your credit history, amount of outstanding credit with Chase, and income level.
