Just in from an AP email:

"All eUpgrade Credits earned as of November 1, 2011, including those earned for achieving a Status Mile Threshold, or for an eligible Flight Pass activity, may be used for travel through February 28, 2013."

Not a bad start, would have like to see a minimum validity of, say, 6-9 months.
