The reimbursement amounts credited to a hotel is generally a product of a brand standard established formula (subject to mutually-agreeable exceptions memorialized in contractual form for some properties). If anything, regular point redemption night would tend to result in the same or higher reimbursement amounts for a property, when the point redemption nights are not subject to tighter capacity controls than promotional award nights. When both redemption choices pull from the same inventory, the same redemption formula would usually be in play. This is pretty much the norm when it comes to hotel "loyalty" programs operated by firms in the US or UK hospitality industry.

While the results might not be the same for all others, I'd expect to have at least just as easy a time using those 44k points toward 2 nights at the above specified property. The situation may be somewhat different, however, if Hyatt were (yet again) to change the redemption charts by introducing new redemption category (or categories) or by raising the number of points required to redeem a night for a given property and/or redemption category. But, as Hyatt is usually very good about advance notice, when it comes to redemption under every probable scenario, I find the 44k points to be more flexible and least as valuable as the more time-limited promotional award nights.

Given an opportunity for 44k points instead of the 2 nights, non-Diamonds whom have asked me for direction are being directed to choose the points.

[For those who are given the opportunity, the application (for the 44k points bonus) can be done online or via the mail; if done online at myhyattcard.com, it requires entry of an invitation number to get in on this.]
Thanks for a very comprehensive reply
