Does anyone else have breakfast or other experiences to share? Am about to make a booking for the 4th - 9th of January and would appreciate any other advice also. Not my first time in China, but my first time in Shanghai.

Does the hotel offer an airport collection service in a decent car? For how much?

This is the most recently-updated thread. I found these other, older threads also (perhaps should be merged):

As a Diamond, you get your free breakfast in the brasserie. Much better than what you would get in a lounge anywhere. They take it off your bill when you check out. Call the hotel if you have doubts or concerns. I was there the weekend of September 24th with another Diamond and a Gold. We were each upgraded from the lowest room category to a River view room in the new Tower. Rooms are gorgeously sized and awesomely high-tech. Toto motorized toilet, TV in bathroom mirror, touchpad controlled shades, drapes, lighting, and HVAC. View is spectacular. Staff are great - although trying to work things through the concierge before arrival was almost impossible and the concierges aren't 'hooked up.' Perhaps the hotel is too new, but they can't get you anything 'booked full' at any hot restaurants or clubs. They can just tell you what's available and make a reservation, although they made us an entry reservation at a club which was helpful given the attitude they were dropping in the club's reception lobby.

They offer airport pick-up/drop-of with your choice of the house S350 or S550. If I recall correctly, the S350 was somewhere between 4 and 5 times what the cost of a cab was - so I cabbed back to the airport. The S550 was something like another 50% on to of that. On the way in we took the Maglev and then took a cab from the Maglev station. It's kind of a pain in the butt as you have to do a good amount of walking, but it's worth doing once. Email the concierge for exact prices on the cars. It was some hugely insane cost even by Hong Kong standards where I had just come from and those airport rides were running $100 USD each way.

If it helps, this is definitely my go-forward hotel in Shanghai. No question.
