I don't doubt that they caught the weapons. For me, the only thing that counts as a win for TSA is finding something in a manner that didn't exist prior to 9/11. This was caught using the carryon xray screening, not the naked scanners or swabs. They shouldn't be bragging about being competent at their jobs.
