Global entry related...

I got a pretty nasty blister on my thumb, about 1/3 of the fingerprint size, on which I've cut off the swelled skin and now it's dry, but I keep having to tear off extra teeny tiny bits of skin as they dry off...I've never had a blister on a finger before, so I have no idea if my prints have been affected, but I do know at least that this whole bit of skin is pretty ruined.

Now I will need to use GE at LAX in a few weeks, and now I'm wondering if the kiosk will be able to read my print or not and I will not be able to use the kiosk? or will the scanner be able to read around the gash and still allow me thru?

Should I just go to the YUL office before leaving to have that print re-taken with the gash, since scars don't go away and it will always show anyway?
