Great pics, but I must offer up a correction ... the pic that is the "Rose Bowl" is actually the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Pasadena is about 12-15 miles behind the downtown LA core when you're on approach to LAX, so the Rose Bowl isn't very visible while landing. Also, if you look closely at the hills behind, you can see the Hollywood sign. Good choice staying on the right side of the aircraft, the starboard view of regular LAX landings is much nicer than the port view. Although if you're lucky to have the reverse approach from the west, over the ocean, I guess either side is fine!
