I love the stocks app. But maybe coming from Blackberry I'm just used to no real stock functionality and the stocks app is exactly what I want (basic pricing information-if I want to research I'll do it on my computer). The youtube app is likely heavily used. I don't use it because I only watch youtube videos when they are linked to from another page, but I imagine most users are happy it exists.
As for the "newstand" app I totally agree that it's crap. Especially with the fact that they have a "free" NY Times app-the only one that I saw that I would consider installing- and while it says you can see the top news stories, it doesn't detail that you can't actually read the article. You can ONLY see the headline and ONLY for the top news articles. Additionally, it looks like it only lets you put 11 different apps into the newstand. Why don't they let you put the Economist or WSJ in there?
Additionally, the reminder location functionality is stupid if you can't type in addresses or choose locations on the map. Seriously, how hard would it have been for apple to allow you to type in addresses or choose map points. Also, I have the iTouch 4 (or whatever the touch with facetime is called) as well as the iphone 4s. The 4s allows me to pick a location for a reminder while the touch only lets me pick a date/time. I'm not sure if this is related to different settings on the device, but I think the customizable settings are pretty much the same. So the location reminder thing either only works with iPhones or it only works on the 4S hardware. Has someone with an iPhone 4 been able to get the location reminder thing working?
