Here's one for you: "The High and the Mighty" with John Wayne.

The opening scenes where the passengers just walk up to the desk to check in are fairly realistic.

Once onboard, a passenger pulls out a gun in the heat of an argument. Later, after he's "cooled down", the gun is returned to him, and the stewardess says, in a perky voice, "I'll go make coffee".

MrQ and I always laugh hysterically at that scene.
