The Aeroplan.com Star Alliance chart lists AC as a Star Alliance partner included in the chart.
3. Once one gets elite status on Aeroplan and gets the eupgrades, and presuming that one selects all the eupgrades possible on the options section, is there any way to get more eupgrades other than to fly an additional 20,000 miles?
4. There are two buckets for upgrades on AC, I and R. Is R only for eupgrades, or is it also for Aeroplan members wanting to upgrade using miles via #1 above?
I'm not wealthy enough to buy Y/B fares, so take some of my answers with a grain of salt
1. I believe that AC miles can be used to request upgrades on Y/B fares on AC. I'm not quite sure what your question is asking ... o_o
3. I think AC very rarely runs some sort of promotion where additional e-upgrade credits are awareded? Other than that, I'm not aware of any other ways to get e-u/gs
4. I is award space (and I recall seeing somewhere this is also the fare bucket for the *A mileage upgrades). R is for upgrades (e-ups and LMU buy ups)
