I can't speak for current CX policy, but in the past CX has always comped rooms based on scheduling. Operating out of ICN, most of CX's schedule to SWP requires an overnight in Hong Kong. Since I have reasons to spend time in Hong Kong, I enjoy this, but on any normal ticket (non-group, non-consolidator)CX provides a voucher for a hotel room, transfer, and breakfast without asking, even in Y. Not a great hotel room, but....
