Surely that is only a problem for BAEC members that would have got low tier elite status were they members of other OW FFPs

Universal OW Ruby benefits only seem to be premium check in and priority luggage tags so I don't see how BA's lack of Ruby tier would affect Ruby members from other OW airlines
