One of the reasons event planners have a master bill is to make it easier for the attendees. Nobody needs to worry about paying, getting reimbursed, etc. It also allows the event planner to see exactly what has been charged/paid in one place.
I would hazard to guess that your travel patterns are not the norm on these forums which is perhaps why your somewhat condescending and empirical attitude rubs those of us that travel for work the wrong way.
The fact that you would "never think of getting points/stay credits when I'm not paying out of my own pocket" pretty much goes against my entire travel ideology.
