I apologize in advance if this is answered in the Wiki or this thread, but I did not see anything definitive. I have been a bit ignorant of these challenge programs (I'm kicking myself for that). I got an email offer from AA inviting me to challenge for Gold. I accepted, and nailed it immediately with one flight (RT in F, BOS-LAX). I do this route all the time, and could easily qualify for the PLAT challenge. Will AA allow me to upgrade to the PLAT challenge? I was awarded GLD last night.
