Took me three calls before they finally agreed to grant me Gold status during my Platinum challenge... kinda sucks because I wasn't able to get one part of my LAX-ORD as a GLD and had to be wedged in between an obese couple (strangely enough neither one of them wanted to sit next to each other) but was able to get exit row seating on the way back.
