30 August UA 839 LAX-SYD delayed & cancelled until 31 August.
on 31 August LAX- Shanghai delayed until 8:00PM & finally cancelled
I was booked on UA 839 31 August LAX-SYD.While waiting in LAX RCC was told my UA 839 LAX-MEL was delayed due to Mechnical issues was still in hangar.
I was protected on UA 839 which was suppose to leave on 30th August which left on 31th. August. I even got my favourite seat 16A^
My BP was backdated to 30th August in order to protect me on that flight.
3 744 had Mechnical issues within 24 hours.2 major enough to delayed the flights for 24 hours.
In MEL tonight. Checked both UA 839 & 863 which departed 6th Sept from LAX & SFO are in the air.
Keeping my fingers cross 840 MEL-SYD on 8th Sept & my connection SYD-SFO UA 870 on 8th Sept. do not go mechnical in MEL or SYD.
