Hello,

I am planning on using miles to book my anniversary vacation in the Dominican Republic this November.

I called AA to find out what the cancellation policy is and was told that the mileage was non-refundable but dates could be changed.

As we're still a little ways off Nov I was planning to hold off on the reservation until closer to the time or at least next month.

Can anyone shed some light on how the availability works:

1) Are miles as good as cash for the purpose of paying for the hotel stay?
2) Is availability limited (like mileage seats) to AA by the hotel to only a certain number of rooms per week or as long as there are rooms available in the hotel, I will be able to book?

If anyone could give me some info, please let me know.
