flamboyant 1, few notes I should mention about Finnair Plus:

When you start piling up points from scratch, you've got to go through each tier level, you cannot jump straight to the top. So first 60k points, which equals 20.000km flying in intercont. F, gets you to OW Ruby. Then the count is again back to zero and next 120k points (40.000km in F) will put you to OW Sapphire. Then once again back to zero and next 300k points will finally give OW Emerald. So taking this into account, it might be difficult to reach Emerald with one AONE if starting from scratch, would require, with quick calculation around 160.000km of flying in F, also remember what mentioned earlier that even if you got F ticket, and only J service is offered, you will get credited as flying in J. Sapphire & Emerald status are both valid for 2 years. For Ruby and Sapphire you've 12months to collect the required points, for Emerald (after you've reached Sapphire) you have 24months to collect the 300k points. Also, with every level, atleast 4 oneway flights must be on AY metal. I think this might be a deciding factor against AY in you case?
