Nah, my TA picked Qantas to ticket an OWE using the (perhaps incorrect) reason that the "first intercontinental" carrier had to do that. I asked here and a couple of people assured me that QF had a great rtw and/or rate desk.
I think not!
It's been at least a couple of weeks; some sign of action, but each hint at progress comes with some significant error that seems to start the process over again. So I'm NOT a happy Qantas camper. I hope the good folks who assured me that their first-class 744's had flat beds and at least half-way decent service weren't similarly overly-optimistic. </font>
I think your TA might be the problem. I've ticketed Oneworld RTW with Qantas (directly, not through a TA) and they were quite good. Better than CX and almost as good as AA (and the AA service on the ATW desk is *outstanding* so that is a tough standard to compete against). Maybe your TA is in the QF doghouse for some other considerations ...
On a serious note, I've been able to get quite complicated ticketing resolved with QF within 24 hours (and it was always done right, in fact they were very gung-ho about Oneworld and not put off by never having heard of something before).
