As someone who is close to the matter, to see the current buying frenzy actually saddens me. If HP had sold the TouchPad for a reasonable price (say $250-300) to begin with, it might have actually been a successful long-term product.
I hear you. I personally am glad that last year HP/Palm decides to stick with Qualcomm as the chipset vendor, instead of my employer. A lot of engineering effort is wasted for this low volume, short-lived product.
