so, interestingly, the only problem I had in booking was AA's codeshare on NRT-BKK with JAL. If AA doesn't honor the circle pacific fare with "J" or "C" class inventory (no "D" available), then the whole kit and caboodle goes to *A (even though I'm nobody on *A, I wouldn't have much choice). I really don't want to fly eastbound from ORD...the ORD connections to the BA/QF flights from London are poor plus it adds another continent to the fare. And CX doesn't go non-stop from ORD so I would be adding another connection.
