My intinerary is very fluid at present, but I think it will go like this:

SEA-YVR on Alaska Air
YVR-HKG on Cathay Pacific
HKG-DXB on Cathay Pacific
DXB-LHR on British Airways
LHR-ORD on American Airlines
ORD-SEA on American Airlines

This is company travel, and as such, will be booked by company travel agency.

What, if anything, can I do to maximize my benefits?

I can travel eastbound, if required. That is not my preference, however.

Is there any benefit/requirement to coordinate with the American RTW desk?
