Completely agree!

I realized that the OP initiated this thread, not because he was looking for advice, but more about venting out his anger and frustration. But if any advice I would offer to him (and what I believe and practice) is to forget about $122, just log a complaint to AC, be it useful or not.

At the end of the day, any clout about influncing AC is either (1) you are a super rich billionaire who spends million dollars purchasing or you are a corporation using AC as the main carrier, or (2) statistically more and more complaints pouring to AC, or the complaints are on an increasing trend, so they have to do something.

As an individual passenger, we generally do not have huge clout, no matter how we brag our SE status or overrate our own commercial value, but I just always think I am just another littler guy. And you may or may not get what you think you should deserve, which can be a gap management issue between the expectation and the result, but overall like any other business, AC overall does its job in taking care of its top flyers, statistically speaking.

So I feel the only thing I can do and should, if I think my travel experience is lousy, I write them a complaint, and move on.

PS: Logging a complaint is a process that may not produce your expected result. I always consider logging a complaint is something I need to accomplish to the overall process.
