This seems a lot more business like than uniform like. It would be a lot harder to behave badly in it.

Didn't some of the in-flight service directors (whatever you call those) they had for a while wear some grey-ish suits?

Also, is this worldwide? At one point (not sure if it is still the case now), the uniform of some Asia based cabin crew was different from the rest of the system.
