Especially at SFO (which has only 2). IIRC, IAD had 4 kiosks when I arrived there last month.
That is why I am glad my most frequent US airport for INt'l traffic, Houston IAH, has 15 terminals now (per the CBP; I've counted at least 12) ^ ^ ^
and new seperate no checked bag departure lane.

I used IAD again a few weeks ago and a line formed behind US but they were still out in 2-3 minutes.
