If you fly RUH-AMM-LHR presumably it gets ticketed online by AA - but you burn a segment and miss out on First.
When booking on the online engine through BA for some originations eg South Africa the booking is made and you receive a PRN but you are instructed to contact the BA office in the country where your trip commences within 72 hours to finalise payment.
When booking on the online engine through AA for some originations where AA is not the
operating carrier of the first flight eg Sudan my experience is that you get to the final step and then receive an error and the booking does not proceed.
