So, if I wanted to buy a RTW ticket for travel originating in Montreal, I could do that as long as I paid for it in Montreal, even though I used a US credit card. A second possibility would be to use a Montreal travel agency, sending them my cc# and have them mail me the ticket.

Does anybody know how many days in advance a RTW ticket has to be paid for?
